(Show Description)
Podcasting, Schmodcasting . . . Podcasting is the ability to distribute audio and video files through syndication feed enclosures that download automatically to a user’s media playback device. The ability to podcast audio and video files has been around longer than the Internet but it wasn’t until 2004 that podcasting became acknowledged.
What’s All the Hype? Podcasting has rapidly become the new way to reach listeners around the world. Podcast downloads are similar to music downloads, using speech instead of music. You can access the files on your PC just as you would any other of your file, allowing you to listen to whatever you want, whenever you want. And now, you can listen to Rapid City Library programs or events whenever and wherever you choose |
