Monte was appointed to the Library Board in February 2004. His community involvements include Morning Optimist, Black Hills Area Council of Boy Scouts, Rapid City Club for Boys, Rapid City Elks Club, South Dakota Broadcasters Association, National Association of Broadcasters and Knollwood Heights United Methodist Church. Monte attended Junior College and Notre Dame Upper Management Courses. Monte intends to continue to make certain that the public is aware of all the services available at the Rapid City Public Library. In addition, he would like to continue to research new technologies for library services and assess their feasibility for Rapid City. Monte's goals include using his expertise in public relations and management to achieve the Library's goals and to make the Rapid City Public Library the type of facility that meets the community's expectations. He would also like to insure that we continue to make appropriate decisions for the use of available funding. |
