Per bid procedure, Board action is needed to authorize advertisement for bids for the acoustics remediation project. The cost for these improvements is estimated at $114,705. $40,000 will be funded by the board funds budget and $92,205 to be funded by CIP; because the amount would exceed $15,000, bid advertisement is required. In addition an alternate bid shall be requested for the ceiling that if approved would require additional CIP funding. CIP shall be briefed of the current status for the project and the alternate bid.
The acoustics remediation project is budgeted for in the 2009 board funds budget. The final review for bid specifications is noted in the attached memo.
