Article II, Section 6: Attendance at meetings is essential for the welfare of the library. If a Trustee is not able to attend a scheduled meeting, including committee meetings, the chairman of the board must be notified. After the second unexcused absence during a calendar year, the chairman of the board will contact the director Trustee involved for clarity. After three unexcused absences during a calendar year, the chairman of the board will bring the matter to the attention of the board mayor.
