Re: RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) MOU

Recommendation: Approve the addition of an RSVP MOU to the Contract Approval Policy; there is no budgetary impact for this MOU.

Background: RSVP has provided volunteers on a trial basis to assist with our print newsletter mailings; the volunteers’ work has included folding, taping, labeling, and sorting the newsletters prior to mailing.

For continuation of volunteer services through RSVP, they require an MOU to be signed; this would allow for an ongoing relationship with RSVP for various volunteer projects. This MOU will be added to the Contract Approval Policy for annual review by the Library Board.
