Recommendation: Approve signing of grant proposal from General Beadle
School. This proposal has no budgetary
impact to the library, and does not alter the library’s role in providing
public library service at the school facility.
Background: The grant funding would also allow for the
hiring of a building supervisor, who would be in charge of overseeing the
program coordination and have oversight of the facility on weekends. The building supervisor position is one that
RCPL had agreed to provide partial funding for; however, at this time that position
is being filled by custodial staff who are not in a supervisory role.
