As previously reported, it came to our attention that the numbers in the IFAS Reports (monthly budget reports) did not match the 2008 approved budget numbers. There was a discrepancy in the bottom line of $24,700 higher in the IFAS reports than what was approved.
The Finance office has explained that there were automatic encumbrances made in the amount of $24,700 at the end of 2007 into the 2008 budget for open invoices. This explains the entire discrepancy.
