SUPPORT
SERVICES/TECHNICAL SERVICES
Services:
- TS
and Business Office staff addressed many of the clerical and last-minute
tasks for hosting the SDLA Spring Forum. Because of their efforts, the
event proceeded smoothly
- We
developed a small backlog of uncataloged material this month. We
implemented our backlog plan, and have begun to reduce the backlog and
move the materials to the public.
- We
did some additional cross-training in ordering and magazine check-in
within the department to achieve a broader base for back-up when someone
is gone
- In
the process of assessing Librarian 1 tasks, we noted that a few of them
are clerical in nature. We reassigned these clerical tasks, such as
statistics gathering and statistics reporting for department and projects,
to the Library Associate position
