RE:      Closing Early

Recommendation: Close the library at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2006; this early closing will accommodate a reception being held on the premises as part of the annual South Dakota Library Association conference.

Discussion: This year Rapid City is hosting the SDLA conference, and plans to showcase the library to visiting librarians from around the state and region during an evening reception.

The early closing will allow for the setup and reception itself to take place; setup is scheduled for 6:00-7:30, with the reception from 8:00-10:00 p.m.
