Re: Electronic Time Sheets
The Rapid City Public Library staff has begun utilizing electronic time sheets as of October 31, 2005. Prior to the new electronic time sheets database, a printed version of time sheets from Human Resources was used. The electronic time sheets have been used as trial runs for four pay periods that began September 19. During the trial runs, the end results of each electronic time sheet were compared with the results of each printed version. All identified software discrepancies have been resolved.
The purpose of the electronic time sheets as opposed to the printed version is to eliminate paper when staff fills out a time sheet. Additionally, the electronic time sheets reduces time spent completing paper forms.
