Thank you to everyone for their feedback on participation in National Library Worker’s Day tomorrow. A majority of people were in favor of changing departments. The schedule is listed below. It will begin at 1:00 and conclude at 3:45. There are15 min. travel and department instructions between each session for getting started.
Technical Services will also include the Networking Office (Jim is the contact), Publications/Publicity(list), Outreach/Volunteers(list) and Facilities(list). When a group is working in the TS area they will need to divide up amongst the five areas. The Administration Dept. will have three areas Public Services Manager, Business, and Director’s Offices. Paul Ritten will be the contact person for the Admin. and there will be “to do” lists in each office. There will also be lists as needed in other areas. Treats are as provided by departments.
Quite likely there will be kinks to work out and people are having to go beyond daily activities to make this happen. Hopefully the day will be fruitful for all.
Groups will spend half an hour in each area, with 15 minutes to complete the changeover. The Group in TS will go to their next station to relieve the staff there, who will move on to their next station and so on, to ensure that the public desks continue to be covered.
LIs and designated staff will be stationed in TS, CS, Ref, and YS.
