Action needed:  Approval of the updated Freedom to Read statement from the American Library Association (ALA).

 

 

Background:  The library’s Information Resources Policy includes the Freedom to Read statement from ALA.  ALA revised this statement in June of 2004 to clarify language, and to expand on the rights of readers and those who seek information, as we deal with issues surrounding the Patriot Act and information access.
