Re: Contract Highlights: 2000 – 2004  

§ Statistics thru Oct. 2004:

7,288 total registered borrowers

2,417 average annual new patrons

109,824 average annual circulation

§ Keystone and Hill City have entered records for the existing collections and are utilizing the South Dakota Library Network for operational services.

§ Volunteer Courier services were established between the four libraries to transport materials.

§ Additional hours of service were added at the Wall and Hill City Libraries. Wall added a half-day weekly service in 2002 and 40 annual hours increased at Hill City for 2003.

§ All four libraries added materials to the collections and some furniture items. In particular, an outdoor material’s return was added at Keystone. Office supplies include library cards and processing items for library materials added.

§ County Library Representatives attend Library Board meetings at each library. The current representatives are:

· Keystone      Pat Wheaton

· Hill City Colleen Lewis                         

· Wall             Jane Sebade                            

· Rapid City Vacancy

§ Online and printed information developed about Pennington County Library Services. Websites at Keystone and Rapid City included county information. A Brochure was developed and distributed by all four libraries. Each library will maintain copies to make available for patrons.
