Re: Testing of Library Tour on CD

Outreach Services and Training have been working on creating a business card CD PowerPoint tour. The main focus of a CD format was to provide a packaged program for library presentations and group and individual learning about services. The CD provides packaged presentations where internet connections are problematic or nonexistent. In a teaching session, it allows for flexibility by moving to and from the topics as questions come up along with providing a CD as a textbook of sorts. The PowerPoint slides are also linked on the library’s web page in addition to the business card CD format.

The CD is currently in a testing phase. We are handing the CD out to patrons and asking them to fill out a postcard about their experience with the CD. We will use this feedback to make revisions and determine effective distribution. The cost per CD is $1.75 each.
