Re:       November 2005 Statistics Narrative

Because November is the start of the holiday season and patrons are busy with other activities, the library normally experiences a drop in both circulation and patron contacts compared to the previous month of October.

  • The entry count is stable.
  • Computer use continues to be up in both departments due to the addition of new computers as part of the goals in the Strategic Plan.
  • Circulation and patron contacts are down for Reference and Youth Services related to the annual drop from October to November.
  • Programs are on track. Attendance is up in adult programs due to a popular Lunch and Learn program and the Poets’ Coffeehouse. Attendance is down in Youth Services in comparison to the numbers who attended October’s Get Real Loud program.
  • Volunteer numbers are stable.
  • We are 10% above our average for materials added this month.
