Re:       One Book, One Community 2005

One Book, One Community is a program which aims to bring a community together by focusing on a single book for discussion. By inviting everyone in the community to read the chosen book, the community is given the opportunity to have a common dialogue.

This year’s One Book program is focusing on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Hound of the Baskervilles. This book was selected because of its readability and interest for a wide range of ages, as well as its standing as a classic of the mystery genre.

In addition to reading the book, the community is invited to investigate the ideas presented in the book. We will host a number of programs, as seen on the attached flyer, focusing on various aspects of the story.

We hope you will join us in reading Hound of the Baskervilles and exploring sleuthing, hounds, and mystery writing during the month of September.

We would like to thank the Library Foundation and the Friends of the Library for supporting this program with their generous contributions.
