“As SDLA President, I would continue to promote the strong public service ethic that has been a part of our tradition through the years. I would work to promote collaboration within the membership, building bridges between public, academic, school, and special libraries, large and small and throughout the state. Using the newly adopted SDLA Strategic Plan, I would work to:

·         Meet the needs of all types of libraries through training support, membership communications, and association procedures;

·         Continue our legislative efforts to raise visibility and support with public officials and governing bodies;

·         Maximizing SDLA resources in leadership, advocacy, membership, and marketing;

·         Continue the SDLA Board initiatives in marketing and mid-year one-day conferences in addition to the administrative duties of the president’s office.
